HELP!!!
Headed for a week long kayak trip and my anorak was left in a dry bag with a wet towel. Smells TERRIBLE. Tried handwashing and hanging in sun. Any ideas? The smell is really bad…
I hear and understand your pain! If washing and shampooing does not get rid of the smell, use MIRAZYME, by McNett. It’s very good at breaking down the body oils and washes away the bacteria that leads to smelliness. The key is to prevent buildup, so try to repeat the process every few weeks. And please remember NOT to leave wet gear in a dry bag! That includes your life jackets – hang up and dry them out well and they will last for YEARS. We have some in our boat house that are over 20 years old and still going strong because we take care of them.
